Sealed Kiss Spotlight:Tantalizing Lipstick

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
I decided to give y'all a treat for the holiday check my interview with Tantalizing Lipstick

Me & Tantalizing Lipstick go way back and I must say she doing her thang hunny, 23 killing the modeling game and I wanted to showcase her work on Sealedkiss.. Now Lipstixx Lee is a Alternative model, not the average you see on Americas next top model much more than that. With her tattoo's and deep brown eyes it's hard not to love her pictures. I had the chance to chit chat with Lipstixx check out what she's all about.

Truth-What made you want to become a model?
Tantalizing Lipstick-  I actually never wanted to be a model (lols) I never liked how you needed to look a certain way; all picture perfect and perky, until I found alternative modeling! Once I got a feel for the alternative lifestyle such as having tattoos (I have 11 now) and looking strange and being different whether it was your personal style or your attitude towards the camera; everyone is welcome there is no perfect model. It's a better way to figure yourself out and find out what you like, be expressive. You become experimental and you meet so many different people that you never thought in a million years you would ever be friends with and they turn out to be the best influences in your life and they help you realize who you really are. You all share the same mind set and have weird crazy ideas that we turn into art that no one normal understands. It's a better world of modeling and the only reason why I would ever consider it is because there are no limitations and no one judges.

T-What type of model do you consider yourself? (You have some that only do booty mags or only high end fashion)
TL-  I don't call myself a model, I've turned it into an Art. Modeling now a days can vary in so many ways, like they say video vixens are models but I just see them as rump shakers. Plus everyone wants to be a model now a days and all you see are half naked girls with the same blank look on their face. I say they are something nice to look at but that's all. I want to be desired but in a way that when someone looks at my picture they see something more then my body. A picture is suppose to say a thousand words and I like to make those words pop into your head the moment you gaze at me. I want to make an impression in your mind not your pants. So what I do is create a concept and bring it to life. It's all about crazy amazing make up and putting together the story. All the concepts are named and have backgrounds and we have characters we act out but we don't have lines we use our facial expressions and body language to speak through the picture as if you were watching a movie. So call me an artist.

T-Is the model life what you expected? Was it Harder or Easier Than Expected?
TL-The modeling life is not what I expected and only because I came into the game already thinking negatively of myself. I thought I wasn't going to get noticed or I would get a lot of negative feed back and I have at one point. Someone actually made fun of one of my tattoos saying I looked like someone drew on me with a marker. I actually took it in stride and kept my head up. But the shocking part was when the positive feed back came in and out of no where I had more fans and followers. It was a world wind and it has been so far. Honestly I wouldn't be able to handle the pressure if I didn't have my friend Vanessa, she's my mentor and she gave me such great advice and helped me out t so much and introduced me to amazing people. Something like that just the warmth and welcome is something you never expect. For me it was easy once I put my insecurities aside that's what helps you noticed.

T-Do you plan on branching off to other ventures? Meaning starting your own company, model school ect
What type of model do you consider yourself? (You have some that only do booty mags or only high end fashion)
TL-I do actually want to venture off I already have done some modeling coaching I just need a good business partner to help push it, I call it "Tantalizing Vixens" and it consist of everything beautiful I say. You can learn everything from make up to hair and nails then you have modeling 101 where I give the basic needs to starting your armature career and I even go as far as health with exercises and diet tricks. I just need to incorporate it I guess. I have the plan outline I just haven't really applied it yet I want to make sure I have the time to commit to it like any good project deserves.

T-What are your goals in the modeling world? Where do you see yourself in 5 years
TL-My goal as far as modeling are to get more tattoos of course. I really just want to be a positive influence on girls who desire to be a model. I see myself being in more magazines doing pin up modeling and goth modeling, that's what I'm aiming towards. I also want to do more work for the Suicide Girls and really expand my creativity.

T-What mark do you want to leave with your career?
TL-I want people to look upon me and at me as the woman who changed the style of being a real Artist. I want to mark people's soul with my work and really bring back the reason why we started modeling in the first place. To me Art is the best thing you can have in your life and there are so many forms of art I won't allow the form I love to crackle and become degraded. I always said I wanted to win the Nobel prize for Art and Creativity if there is one. I want to be an influence and make Art to be a way of life not just a hobby.

I would have preferred Cole but 360 didn't do a bad job .. I downloaded it and been bumping it ..

Love and Hip-Hop "Reunion" or sit down as I should call it .From what I seen it got most questions answered so I guess that was better than them being on stage yelling and pulling hair, idk if Love and Hip-Hop: Hotlanta is going to be as good. Check out the show if you missed it or want to see it again ..

MARQUEL1823!!

There is something I have to put yall on to....

MARQUEL is a designer from Cali and I must say that he is going places, Its rare that I find a up and coming designers collection HOT! I have peep his collection and I would recommend it to any of my friends. His Line has be tested in LA,NY & DC receiving a lot of  good reviews. I actually got the chance to chop it up with him. I wanted to know about MARQUEL1823!

The Beginning
He was inspired to get into fashion by watching his older cousin Marquise sketch and design t-shirts that helped sparked the interest, he started in 1998 but got serious around 2000-2001. According Marquel the best part about fashion design is seeing people in his clothes, feeling the fame of seeing someone happy to wear his clothes, But the most difficult part is staying relevant, he doesnt want to follow trends he wants to be different.

The Line
Marquel makes clothes for all sizes (which I was glad to hear). His line will appeal to all ages. Since he hand crafts the clothes himself, I asked him about plus sizes clothes he being a big man himself he said "I gotta look out for the big men" .. I also asked is it difficult to make plus size clothing "Making plus size clothes its a little more expensive" but that doesnt seem to phase him. It must give a person a great feeling to know that Marquel custom makes his clothes, because they will know that every Tom Dick and Harry doesnt have your outfit on!

Marquel Fashion Mens Letterman jacket

Plus Size Designer Clothes
Since Marc Jacob and Channel is making clothes for the plus size I wanted Marquel's opinion he said  "Big people need dope clothes" and I agreed because I'm a thick chick and and I wanna be able to wear whatever I want! So be on the look out yall!.
MARQUEL WOMENS DRESS-Howard Homecoming Fashion Show

Social Sites
Since social sites are becoming more important I wanted to know if networking was easier for him because people it gets your stuff out faster? or harder because people can steal designs and call it there own? Marquel feels he is hot enough that its not an issue.

The website: IamMARQUEL.COM
I wondered when the website would be available  he couldnt pinpoint when but its coming soon so stay on the look out for that. But you can go to http://turnstyle4u.bigcartel.com/ to check and buy some of the clothes until the official site comes!.

Favorite Designers & Personal Style
             Flip The Script
Couture- Fendi http://www.fendi.com/
               Yves Saint Laurent http://www.ysl.com/

Marquel's personal style consist of pair of 501 jeans a pair of fly kicks (retro nikes) and a crew neck tee-simple! that shocked me because his line is far from simple, so I can see that his work doesnt reflect his personal style!

So you can hit this hot urban designer on twitter @Marquel1823

Always remember "A THOUGHT MAKES MARQUEL A DREAM CREATES IT" -Marquel

Until Next Time Much Love -TRUTH
